Dedicated to my father – who asked a simple question…

This post is dedicated to my father, who asked a simple question “do you see the different colours of the ocean?” right at the beginning of my trip. He made me, as always, see the different colours of the ocean, the changing faces of the ocean and each time there was a different ring at the horizon, all of us, passengers used to watch how this dissolves or which new colour it gets. .

Day before yesterday, we had the sunset that could only be the grand finale of the sunsets. B, A, Ri will disembark today. We will be the only passengers left on the ship by nightfall. A and Ri, like me, are into sunsets – even more fanatic than I – they have not missed ANY sunset whatever the face of the sunset. So it was only natural that before they disembarked, the sky had to put up its show and what a show it was. Here it is in all glory and the orange sea for Mr Jayasankar :).

I had ordered a beautiful sunrise to G and R, typically on watch when I retire and when I come up the next morning. Today, though the sun has not yet risen, the sky, this morning, welcomed me on the bridge with a spread of pink and sky blue!

This morning, after the sunrise, I came in, opened my email box. There was an email with Carnatic Classic workshop invitation in Chennai. I had subscribed to this many months (perhaps years) ago. Everytime I got one of these newsletters, I used to think that perhaps one of those events would happen when I am visiting India. A beautiful feeling, of now I can attend concerts without any restrictions, came up.
